Wedding Car Hire in Warsaw

In short. For weddings in Warsaw, Aurex offers cars in two formats: self-drive rental or a car with a chauffeur on request. Any car in the fleet can be booked, including the Maybach S 580, Mercedes-AMG G 63 and SL 63. With self-drive rental, the person behind the wheel is the driver named in the contract, aged 21 or over and with at least 2 years of driving experience. Decoration, rental for a few hours and a chauffeur are all available, and the price is agreed individually with the manager.

Which cars suit a wedding in Warsaw

Any car in the fleet can be booked for a wedding. There are two formats: an ordinary rental, where the couple or a guest drives, and a car with a chauffeur on request, priced individually with the manager. So the choice starts with the question of who drives and who sits in the back. Manufacturers do not publish everything a couple needs, and we have not measured the sill height, the door opening width or how convenient the step is in a dress. Below are only confirmed facts; the rest is checked at a fitting.

The Mercedes-Maybach S 580 (Z223) is built around the rear row. According to Mercedes, the rear compartment is 180 mm longer than in the long-wheelbase S-Class, and the cabin is designed for Executive seats and a chauffeur package. For a wedding this means the couple sits in the back while a friend or witness named in the contract drives, or a chauffeur provided by Aurex on request. Ask the manager whether a particular car has powered rear doors, tables and a refrigerator.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 has separate rear doors. The rear legroom gain that Mercedes stated for the 2018 generation is 150 mm over its predecessor. That figure is not the same as the step-in height in a long dress, so check the sill and the step in the shoes you will wear to the ceremony.

The Mercedes-AMG SL 63 2025 model year is an R232 generation roadster with a soft top and a 2+2 layout. Rear seating is allowed up to a height of 1.50 m, or 1.35 m with a child seat; there are no separate rear doors. It is a car for two: one drives, the other sits beside.

When you need a lot of space or luggage, there are the Range Rover Sport of the L461 generation and the BMW X7 40i. The new-generation Range Rover Sport was presented on 10 May 2022: Land Rover added 31 mm of rear legroom and 20 mm of knee room, and the suspension is air. In the updated X7 the second row is ordered with three seats or two individual seats, and air suspension is fitted on both axles. The number of seats alone does not prove a dress will be comfortable, so check the cabin configuration. If you need two cars, for example a Maybach for the couple and a G 63 for the guests, a package or discount can be agreed individually with the manager. How a wedding rental works

• Request. Send the date, the route between venues, the number of passengers, luggage and the driver's name, or a note that you need a chauffeur. Which cars are free on a particular Saturday is confirmed by the manager.
• Documents. A passport or ID card and a driving licence. We check the documents during the online check on the website; at handover the check is selective.
• Handover. At our office in Warsaw, the airport, a hotel or an office by arrangement. We hand over and take back cars during the manager's working hours, from 10:00 to 22:00; earlier or later is paid separately. We inspect the condition of the car and sign a handover report.
• Insurance and deposit. Mandatory liability insurance and comprehensive cover are included in the rental terms; the client's share in case of damage depends on the model. For every rental we take a refundable deposit, and its amount is shown on the car's page.
• Return. The car is returned at the agreed hour, with the tank filled to the same level as at handover. There is a surcharge for late return.

Besides the standard rental there are two more options. You can take a car for less than a day, for example for a few hours around the ceremony: the price is calculated from the hours and mileage and agreed individually with the manager. You can also book a car with a chauffeur, for example for the whole wedding day, with the price likewise agreed with the manager.

Free cancellation is possible 48 hours before handover. Support works around the clock by phone, e-mail and WhatsApp, which helps if the ceremony runs late.

When to start looking for a car

Nobody publishes an exact lead time for booking a car specifically. Wedding portals advise starting the search for a modern premium car 6-9 months before the date, but this is a market recommendation, not order statistics. The season in Poland is stretched: a 2015 study of marriage seasonality singles out August, June and September, and the head of a registry office in Gdańsk named June and August the most popular months of the previous year in January 2026. According to preliminary estimates citing GUS, about 133 thousand marriages were concluded in the country in 2025.

The practical order is this. Fix the date and the venues, then write to the manager: free Saturdays depend on the particular car, and they can be confirmed only on request. If you have not yet chosen between two models, name both so the manager can check both dates at once.

How to plan the day with a rental car

On the wedding day the car is needed for more than the drive from home to the registry office. Write down in order the pickup, getting ready, the ceremony, photos, the transfer to the reception hall and the return, leave a buffer between items and allow for refuelling: the car must come back with the same fuel level. If the ceremony is delayed, warn the manager at once, not at the return. Decide separately where the flowers, shoes and bags will go, and check this in the cabin of the chosen car.

Decorating the car and Polish rules

Aurex can decorate the car for the wedding for an extra fee, and the price is agreed individually with the manager. If you want to use your own decorations, agree on them in advance.

Road rules are the same for a wedding and for an ordinary day. Under the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym, art. 60), you may not cover registration plates and lights or decorate the plate so that its legibility worsens. A "Młoda para" sign does not replace the plate while driving. The driver must keep sufficient visibility (art. 66), and the technical regulation separately describes windows and lighting. For suction cups the manufacturer requires a clean, dry, degreased surface, and it does not advise using magnets on a moving car.

Photos and parking in Warsaw

The Old Town (Stare Miasto) belongs to a restricted traffic zone. A type I pass is issued by the Zarząd Terenów Publicznych for events, filming and other cases, the application is submitted at least 7 days ahead, and the conditions mention an entry in CEIDG or KRS. For photos at the Rynek it is sensible to plan parking outside the zone and a short walk, and to confirm the procedure with ZTP.

In the Łazienki Królewskie gardens, entry of motor vehicles requires the museum's consent. Written consent is also needed for events, commercial activity, advertising, drones and staying outside visiting hours. According to ZDM, paid parking in the SPPN zone applies on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00; you can pay at a parking meter, in the app or by SMS. Check the regime on the ZDM website.

Who drives on the wedding day

The keys must be with a sober person. According to legal publications, driving after alcohol at 0.2-0.5 per mille is a wykroczenie (petty offence) under art. 87 of the Code of Petty Offences (Kodeks wykroczeń), while above 0.5 per mille it is already a crime under art. 178a of the Criminal Code (Kodeks karny). Appoint the driver in advance and put the name in the contract: an additional driver must be listed before handover, the thresholds are the same, 21 years of age and a licence held for 2 years.
